We are seeking an experienced research professional to join our Research team in Mexico City. The global Knowledge Services Research Team supports our consultants by sourcing and synthesizing market data, industry developments and company information necessary for the successful execution of client projects and business development initiatives. This specific role will focus on research support for Oliver Wyman's Corporate & Investment Banking practice (CIB). You will work closely with our partners and consultants and you will gain deep insights into the CIB sector over time. This position reports to the Research Manager, North America.

Key activities of an Oliver Wyman Research Analyst:
As a Research Analyst at Oliver Wyman, you will conduct database and internet research to support information requests submitted by internal clients and members of our global knowledge organization. In your role you will have access to a wide array of information resources including industry focused online databases. With these resources you will identify and organize macroeconomic indicators, company financial data and industry trends. You will maintain your own topical information products to help consulting teams stay current in their knowledge of changes and trends in key industry areas. This will include providing periodic updates for our global asset management proprietary models. You will learn to analyze data to glean deeper insights on the wealth and asset management segment to enhance your deliverables and service to your clients.
What you bring to Oliver Wyman:
As a candidate for the researcher role you should have a minimum four-year university degree and be able to demonstrate knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant related research experience in the banking, wealth and asset management or investment banking segment with a desire to develop further expertise. Experience working in a research environment providing business information at a management consultancy, investment bank or asset manager is preferred.
You should be inquisitive by nature, enjoy solving complex problems and be able to summarize and organize information accurately in formats including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Relevant experience using data sources including Bloomberg, Dealogic, fund databases, S&P Market Intelligence, Factiva, eikon and Capital IQ is important. Strong awareness of relevant information sources covering the CIB sector is required.
You will be required to exercise independent judgment in working to solve internal client demands. This will involve prioritizing your own work to satisfy competing client demands.
